It was a gloomy, cloudy day out today. Not great for taking pictures. Fortunately the sight of the leaves certainly were worth the pain of lugging around my new(-ish) tripod.

Fall is Here

And it’s about goddamn time because fall is my favourite season! It’s so nice and clean and crisp and wonderful, don’t you love everything about fall, too?

It’s better than spring because the snow is still melting around here until March, sometimes April. That, of course, makes everything soggy, mush and gross. Who wants that? No one I care to know. Fall on the other hand is just nice and dry.

Most of the time.

Sometimes we get snow in October or November and things get less dry, less crisp and less wonderful.

Snow ruins everything.

Anyway I just wanted to point out that fall is on its way and I couldn’t be more delighted about it. When I was a kid you waited and waited and waited for fall. Fall meant that winter was the next season and what comes in winter? Christmas! Right about now we’d be getting the Wish Book and starting the first draft of our lists for “Santa”. Well this year the Wish Book came early, my list of things I wanted from it numbers in the two or threes and I’m not really looking forward to Christmas.

Isn’t it funny how being an adult ruins everything?

Now for me winter means snow, cold, wet, damp, howling wind, shoveling snow, freezing my furry ass off and holing up in the house because it’s Too Cold to go out.

Oh well, at least I still have fall, they can’t take that away from me!
