The Domain

I wish I had an interesting story of how babblative.com came about, but I don’t. My old domain valcha.net, given to me by my friend Marty, had expired February 28 and rather than renew valcha.net I decided to go for something new. I decided on babblative purely because I needed something quickly and it fit me, I’m prone to babbling complete and utter nonsense. So I registered it and it’s been mine ever since. I house all of my various projects here, the public ones are: Internet Police, which is my “unreview” site that I co-own with Sarai and Resource in a Box, where I house my links collection. If you have any questions regarding the content on my domain please contact me and I will respond as soon as I can.

I’ve been around on the internet for about 6 years now and I’ve been making websites for about that long. If you were ever on Buffyworld Forums from 2001-2003 then you might remember me as Pickles, Tilly Witch, Black Widow, Moonlight or Fuschia. My first website was intended to be a fanfiction archive ala Vampires Kiss but evolved into a personal site that housed my crappy writing, crappy textures, crappy blends and overall crappy content. If anyone remembers the website Rainbow Boxers, which is -un-fortunately dead, you probably remember their content idea list. I had every single content suggestion on my website. No fooling.

Other versions of my sites include: Sudden Innocence (laugh it up Sarai, laugh it up), Sweet Dreams, Frosted Somethingorother, This is Me and a few others that I erased from my memory from pure shame. I’ve been hosted on Sweet-Toffee.org, Vampires-Kiss and Just-Dreaming (I think that was the name). However, I credit Marty, Sara (usually known as loomy) and Vicky as being the ones who really set me rolling towards whatever I’ve become. Big thanks go out to them for hosting me and giving me my first domain.

My site validates as XHTML 1.0 Strict, my CSS validates and I tend to lean towards semantic coding. I use Textpattern to power my entire website and I’m hosted by Dreamhost, my domain was purchased through Netrillium (which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone for anything). You can find a complete list of credits here.
