Creative Lulls Suck - Jul 14, 14:40

I’ve been doing a bit of reorganizing around here, most notably in the comments of every article. Everything 6 weeks and older has comments closed, there is a contact form on each page so you may still continue the thread of discussion if you so wish. I’ve had to do this to combat some spam I’ve been getting (I’m averaging about 3 or so a week so I’m not too put out by it). I’ve also rewritten the disclaimer and changed the URL structure on some pages to make more sense. You should be redirected to the new URL, though, but if you find an error then please contact me.

Otherwise I’ve been on a creative lull lately, there’s so much I want to do (sew) and I’m getting the urge to start knitting again. Something about knitting in the summer seems wrong, so I stopped doing it for a while in favour of working on a few sewing projects. Now I’m eyeing my sock yarn again and looking around for a decent pattern, but I’m holding off on that because I really don’t feel like churning out a gauge swatch again because I thought I was smart and didn’t bother writing it down last time (and then I decided to rip the bloody thing out). So I’m concentrating on making a few bookmarks, but I’m cursing at those because the thread I’m using is thin and fiddly and what with my eyesight being what it is I’m having trouble seeing it (it doesn’t help that it blends in with the needles either).

My creative lull extends to the internet, too. I’d like to start a new project because my three current ones (psst the third is this domain) just aren’t enough for me. I also have a few ideas for a layout sketched out onto paper that would be fabulous, but they aren’t really practical for this site or any of my others. I suppose when I finally do purchase my new domain… oh right I haven’t told you about that. Well, never fear I’m not moving from babblative, I’m merely buying a secondary domain that will not be released to the public (public meaning you guys) to act as my portfolio/blog so that my full name is Googleable. Anyway hopefully the new domain will be enough to keep me occupied until I find something to do.
