Debunking Common Windows Performance Tweaking Myths – As a tech writer, one of my biggest pet peeves is the plethora of bad advice littered across almost every web site dedicated to system tweaking. Besides the tweaks that simply don’t work, some of them will actually cause your computer to run even slower—or worse. Let’s examine some of the most offensive myths out there regarding PC performance tweaking, and debunk them once and for all.
Food
As-You-Like-It Breakfast Casserole – Have you ever made a breakfast casserole? The basic ingredients are eggs, cheese, milk, and bread. It’s the easiest thing in the world to put together. We have a sausage breakfast casserole on the site that is one of my favorites. The great thing about a breakfast casserole is that you can add almost anything you want to the base. Italian sausage is my all time favorite, but bacon or ham will do too. Or make it veggie, with zucchini, broccoli, basil and onions.
25 Cooking & Baking Tips – Timeless Wisdom Collection – These tips for cooking and baking are from a large collection of tips I’ve gathered together from a variety of books and magazines from the 1940s and 1950s…most of these are quite unique I think since I don’t recall coming across them before.
Cookbook of the Month Recipe – Sausage Rolls – The picture of these sausage rolls caught my eye as I was looking through this month’s cookbook of the month – Donna Hay’s Modern Classics Book 1. And I knew it would be one I would made when I remembered that I had a sheet of puff pastry in my freezer. In fact, I didn’t have to buy one thing for these rolls – all of the ingredients came from my freezer or my pantry.
How To De-Kernelize Microwave Popcorn – Like microwave popcorn, but don’t want to risk chipping a tooth on one of the rock-like kernels that never met its potential? Get rid of unpopped kernels with a simple shake.
Success. Sort of. – My definition of success… not eating the chocolate chip cookie dough that has spent the last two days singing its sweet siren song from the back of the fridge. Out of sight, but no where near out of mind.

7 Fonts that should die – The problem with being a fontwhore is that you begin to recognize some of the tired, overused fonts that no designer seems to want to let go. If you see them, let out a scream and shoot them on sight./2008/08/7-fonts-that-should-die.html
25 Examples of Creative Navigation – In addition to being one of the most significant influences on the usability of a site, navigation menus also allow designers an opportunity to get creative and add some interesting and attractive visual elements to a site. Weekend Quick Tip: Create Your Own Simple Reset.css File – Far too many novice CSS designers don’t realize the importance of creating a “reset.css” file. Who knew making your own oil paint was this easy? – Paints for artists are incredibly expensive, which makes painting a difficult hobby to take up if your cash flow is tight. That’s a pity, because painting is fantastic brain exercise, therapeutic against stress and other negative feelings, and fun. And if you’re lucky, you’ll end up with homemade decor at a fraction of the price of buying art.
Increase Your Privacy with $16 DIY Window Frosting – Windows present a tricky dilemma when it comes to balancing the need for privacy with the desire to have light and fresh air entering your home. 10 Small Roles for Big Stars – We’re less than a week away from the release of Tropic Thunder, and as the reviews and puff pieces make their way onto the web, there’s one thing clearly uniting the media’s coverage: talk of Tom Cruise’s appearance in a small role as a Hollywood studio boss. Everyone seems to agree that he steals the show and that his performance — or the joke surrounding it — is one of the comedy’s major highlights, if not the actual best part.
Clean Notifications – WordPress plugin – Without a doubt, WordPress is one of the most popular blogging platforms currently available for people who want to install and maintain their content management system on their own server.
