Oooh shiney

You know how they say that you can never go back? It’s true, you can’t. I accidentally overwrote the stylesheet to my red layout and lost it forever, I attempted to recreate it but IE decided to step in and rain on my parade.

This one isn’t perfect, but it’s a lot better than the last one, eh? There is some horizontal scrolling in smaller resolutions (with no apparent cause, I’ll delve deeper tomorrow) but nothing is obstructed.

IE wasn’t kind to this layout either, so the navigation in IE is slightly different (Firefox and most likely Opera users will see a border along the bottom denoting a current link or a hover link, IE7 users will see a slightly lighter background on both).

Other than the text “search” in the uppermost bar I’m pleased with this layout. I’ll tweak it some more when I have some time, I wouldn’t have put it up now but that temp layout was so damn ugly.

I’ll be participating in the Blogathon 2007 so keep checking back every day for a new entry until March 03.

I don’t know what I’m supposed to be seeing in FF, but it looks okay in my IE. :P

(And bubs, I think you mean March…not Feb…)

Yea, I sort of like this layout better than your previous one. It has this nice sleek feel to it.

And are you using the tag? If so, you can remove the default “Search” heading by setting the label attribute to “”. (I’m sorry if I’m just telling you something you already know, though.)

And wow, you’re participating in the Blogathon 2007? I think that that’s really amazing; I wouldn’t be able to keep that up for an entire month.

Amanda, shush I don’t know what you mean :P I was thinking of something that happened on Febuary 01 that’s all. It should be just fine in IE7 (I had to use conditional comments to whack it into shape), I’m fairly certain that it breaks horribly in IE6, but I don’t have an install of IE6 to test it in (and I won’t for a couple more weeks, months even) so I’ve had to drop IE6 support completely for the time being.

Dorie, I love you. I didn’t know that you could do that!

I have a bunch of drafted entries that I’ve never posted, I’m just going to polish them up and send them out every day :P That should keep it going for about half of the time that it’s going on.
