Tonight whilst stumbling around deviantArt looking for resources to add to my resource list (part 2 coming soon!) I came across a rather nauseating display of maturity.

200+ downloads and no comment nor fave … I see why there are so few decent brush artists on here …

In response to that I posted a comment that not only stated how I felt about the authors attitude, but also what I thought of the brushes (which I sadly could not test on my own PC, yay for people who make image packs). To sum it up, I think that the fact she’s whining for more comments/favourites on a set of brushes that are pretty goddamn shoddy, if you look at the preview image closely you’ll notice they aren’t entirely smooth, is pathetic for a 31 year old adult. And in crappy English, too. You can read the comment here.

Your right the question wasn’t directed towards you ….. most of all don’t leave comments advertising your works on my page. So what if you dont like my attitude … obviously someone like my work by instantly downloading … the reason I ask for comments is for improvement … I made these brushes by hand with a mouse … have you made any yourself ?
Or do you just profit off of having other works linked to your page ?

First of all do you see me making a profit off of anything here? Do you see any ads? Any sponsored posts? Read my disclaimer because in it I state explicity, and I quote, “I do not accept money for any advertising….” No profit is made and, honey, if I wanted more hits I certainly wouldn’t go to your dA account to get them. Also please note how I didn’t link my website. I merely provided a piece of text should anyone be interested (most people are too lazy to actually type the link into their address bar, go figure). Perhaps it would be good for you to actually check out your accusations before, you know, accusing me of things I did not do.

You obviously don’t give a goddamn about your visitors, if you did then you’d be glad that someone helped one of your many [sic] commenters, you probably would’ve provided additional support. But oh noez, someone left a text link in my comments trying to help someone else out. Gasp. Shock. The horror. Pray tell what is it that I’m advertising? The Netspeak HTML Chart? Oh no, it must be the various tutorials on Textpattern. No? Okay then it must be the Stylish Templates. Wrong again? Damn. And hey, none of these things bring me any money (nor do I get many, if any, comments on them) and I continue adding to them and updating them because I can. Cunt.

Don’t assume that you’re the only person who knows how to make brushes. I too have made many brushes and I know what hard work it can be (obviously not for you, you’re an untalented shit). I’ve made and redistributed, with no need to comment, textures that are free for personal use. Again, no profit is made from this and the last comment I got about them was months ago. Do I care? No, I’m not a grubby little attention whore, that’s your title. Also don’t assume that I don’t know how to use Photoshop or my mouse. I’ve perfected my mouse skills to the point where I can write my signature so well that it’s very near my handwritten signature. Before I got my Wacom tablet I used my mouse for everything, I still get comments on my mouse skills all the time from people. Beat that.

You’re 31 years old, old enough to know what a contraction is and old enough to write in English. You’re also old enough to know better than to act like a 13 year old twat because you didn’t get enough comments. Oh sob, gee I’m sorry. Maybe you’ll get more with your next crappy brush set? I mean if you guilt-trip people enough they’ll feel really sorry for your pathetic self and comment on your brush sets just to get you to shut the fuck up. I tried to be nice, I really did (read my comment, I wasn’t trying to start shit). But you really take the cake as far as stupidity and general attitude goes. Do you have a website? We’re always looking for new meat on Internet Police, we’d love to have you on.

What you’re doing is trying to excuse your own stupidity and crappy work. Maybe if you made better brushes and acted like a decent human being you’d get more comments and favourites. Sure people may like your brushes enough to download them, but how long do they keep them? Probably not for long if they’ve revisited this page in the past little while. I love, love how you completely disregard the fact that non-registered users can view and download your brushes. How are these users supposed to favourite you? They can’t and they shouldn’t have to, just to please you. Oh, but they should please you because you’re the almighty brush maker, allow me to bow down before your mighty fyne azz self. Why would I stick around and take lip from you when I can go to a thousand other people on dA, or with regular sites, and strike up a normal conversation? Why would anybody stick around to tell you how grateful they are that you, oh so kindly, gave us one of your treasured brush sets? You act like it’s a privilege for us to comment on your brushes. I have a newsflash for you: It’s not a privilege. Stop acting like it’s one. You’re lucky to even have 375 downloads, you ungrateful twat you.

Oh and before I go, remember kiddies, it’s not polite to advertise your works in any way on my website. So that means you have to remove all URL’s from the comments, even if it’s really cool, and don’t put a link to your website in the URL form. That’s bad nettiquette, so don’t do it. Ah I’m just shitting you, go ahead and plug away (unless you’re a spam bot or someone I hate cause then you can’t plug, gtfo my site).
