If You Like Thin Women Then You're Gay

Or straight, as the case may be.

His letter to Dan Savage, a known fat-phobe and a gay man, also signifies his own need for reaffirmation of his beliefs and a cry for help. I mean, why write a letter to a GAY man in the first place. (I’m not knocking gay people but when a heterosexual man writes a letter to a gay man, this may signify some repressed sexual tendencies. Why not write to a heterosexual male sex therapist or even a woman, as most sex therapists are?) After all, most fat women have real breasts, hips, bellies, etc. They have softness that some (not all) thin women don’t. Thin women are less likely to have shapely features, are more likely to have masculine features.

This man doesn’t want a woman. He wants a man but for a variety of reasons, can’t go that route so therefore he needs to be with a woman with a shape that is more masculine than feminine.
Mari commenting on ‘My Wife Isn’t Sexy Anymore’ and What You Can Do About It

Emphasis in the above quote is my own. Don’t want to read through all the garbage? Allow me to sum it up for you: Mari has a theory (and no, it’s not about bunnies) that if you like thin women you’re gay, I suppose that means if you’re a lesbian that you’re straight. And apparently gay men cannot handle giving advice on the intricacies of a heterosexual relationship, yanno since they’re so different from homosexual relationships. I’d like to even see them try, oh those silly homosexuals giving relationship advice to straight people. What will they think of next? A male gynaecologist, perhaps?

Thank you, Mari for taking everything we know about human sexuality and setting it on fire, pissing on it, then setting it on fire again. I assume you’re working on the cure for cancer now that you’ve gotten sexuality (and African-American hair and white women) out of the way? I’m sure that a round of “you ain’t got cancer, foo’” followed by a solid smack along side the head will be more than enough to help the millions that suffer from every. single. type. of. cancer. God bless you, Mari, God bless you.

I don’t really know what to think. The thin ideal goes deeper in our western culture than we know, but saying men who like thin women are gay is downright stupid, specially because there are both thin and fat women who are that way naturally (genetics, etc). It’s like saying that men who like girls with short hair are actually pedophiles (I’ve heard that several times, specially in Latin cultures, where the macho thing is very important) because they are fantasizing of being with a boy.

What a ridiculous way to justify her mediocrity. What happened to wanting to be better? I don’t see how being fat and unhealthy, could be something to be happy about. Not everyone has to be sporty, toned and skinny, but a healthy medium is desired.
Her examples with Carmen Electra, Halle Berry and Pamela Anderson are so STUPID that it’s unbelievable. Like all thin women divorce several times. Hasn’t this women heard of proper and correct researching? The three women she mentioned are special cases because of being celebrities and all that…

I have no words…this is too stupid! :-(

What a good person.
And cancer has been proven to be entirely psychological by the IOTW (Idiots Of The World) Committee.
Do you think she’s a member? :)

Sigh. Amazing logic. It reminds me of people blaming gay fashion designers for supermodels being thin…

I hate it when idiots share my name.

That woman must have several free time. Free time that she wastes writing stupid “theories” like that one.

Hahaha.

I also like how she blames fat-phobia for the high divorce rate. Because, you know, the world revolves around that.

Her assumption that a different person cannot provide you advice is also bordering on plain discrimination. A hairstylist, for example, is supposed to be experienced in treating different hair styles.

If a guy likes skinny girls, how does that make him gay? Surely if he were gay he would like skinny guys ?

Rachael: If a guy likes skinny girls, how does that make him gay? Surely if he were gay he would like skinny guys ?

Because a girl who has no tits, no hips and no ass is considered to have a boyish figure. By Mari’s logickz (not to be confused with actual logic) unless you’re fat you have a boyish figure and if a man is attracted that boyish figure then he must be gay.

Julie: A hairstylist, for example, is supposed to be experienced in treating different hair styles.

My biggest problem with her comment is that she automatically assumes that everyone everywhere is incapable of learning. I say if a woman with thick hair can learn how to deal with thin hair, then a white woman can learn how to deal with African-American hair (and vice versa for both examples). Just as a man can be a gynaecologist.

Mari: Sigh. Amazing logic. It reminds me of people blaming gay fashion designers for supermodels being thin…

THEY DO THAT NOW!?

The “fat gene” actually only accounts for about 10lbs, not for the morbid obesity demonstrated in the FA society. I’ve never heard that about girls with short hair, but I have heard that people who prefer barely there or completely bare pubic areas are paedophiles! I guess the rest of the body doesn’t count… doesn’t make sense to me.

Is this Mari from Misstuned? Because for a few seconds I thought it was, but Mari from the post doesn’t provide a website…

BTW, I have no idea what to say. This is way too confusing and stupid!

I’ve heard it for years, actually. People say that gay fashion designers deep down want all their models to be male. So they go for the ones who look most “masculine”. sigh Real nonsense.
