Help me disguise myself!
I need something to read, I’ve exhausted everything online (and when I say everything I mean I lowered myself down to reading Harry Potter fanfiction I needed a fix so badly) and since I’m broke the only thing I can do is /gulp/ go to the library. There’s just one teensy, eensy problem though. I owe them money. Lot’s of money, like oh about $70+ (don’t remember the exact amount but it’s over $70). They started charging me $4 dollars a book. A day. Yes, $4 a book. A day. How the hell can they get away with doing that?
It’s highway robbery I tell you, if I had $70 I’d go hit up some used book stores for reading material but I’m currently broke. Oh! And since the nearest used bookstore is a forty minute drive from here my chances of getting out there anytime soon are slim to nill.
So I’ve decided that the only way I can get something to satisfy my book craving is to disguise myself and get a new library card. They probably recognize my voice so I’ll have to pretend to not have a tongue or something (they don’t know my handwriting, so I can slip them notes). Think I’d pass as a Muslim woman? Or maybe a harem girl. Genie? Lady in a ball gown with big fan obscuring her face? One of those has to work, I’ve got the shakes man.
I don’t think my brother owes anything so maybe if I send him in with a list he could check them out for me. Of course he’d look pretty silly with a bunch of romance novels mixed in with his geeky books. Do you think he’d mind horribly? Or maybe I’ll send in my sis- no she doesn’t have any mail that she can show to the librarians to prove that she lives where she said she lives. Fuck, I’m screwed, aren’t I?
On a much lighter note I’ve started a fanlisting /blushes/ it seems like such a n00bery thing to do, but I did it. It’s a Huddy fanlisting and yes I am a fangirl so bite me. I decided to do it when I was browsing the official fanlistings and came across the official Huddy fanlisting, of course it looked like something someone upchucked after eating shrimp out of a vending machine at a gas station, so I just had to pwn it with an uberly awesome UNoffcial fanlisting of my own. Huddy – The UNofficial Fanlisting

There are very good Harry Potter fanictions. Have you read those of neutral (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/135812/)? They’re dead amusing. Also, I have some e-books (i.e. txt files with some books if you’d like).
What kind of library asks for that amount of money? I admit the British library here asks for money as well… but it’s a yearly fee. Not one for each book/magazine/dvd/video I purchase. I’d be in debt waaaaaaaaaaaaaay soon that way.

Ooh, that’s the guy in your avatars? I’ve never heard of House…. must have not made it to here :P
I have a 400MB folder of E-books on my PC, I’d send you a few but they’re all in German. Gosh, I just searched, I even have The bible as e-book. haha… oh, there’s also a Playboy Nudes Calendar.. not much to read though…
$70? Ouch. I’ll go to the library starting next week again. I’m so bored without class and work. Terrible.

That’s an awful lot of money to owe the library. If you don’t want to read fanfiction there is always fiction press, I don’t know about the quality of writing but there might be some good ones.
The library where I live didn’t check in a book a returned last week, good thing when I went this week I saw it on the self when the lady excused me of not returing a book. The same lady earlier this summer excused me of not paying a fine I paid a month prior, thanks goodness I had the reciept in my purse.
