Fall is Coming!
The air is crisp and cold and it feels like fall is coming. I think it’s about time to break out my pants and long-sleeved shirts, I’ve already pulled my pink fuzzy slippers out of storage. Fall is my favourite season, it has the coolness of spring, but without the wet and rain. The air smells oh-so-good and come October it’s fair time! I really only go for the cotton candy and candy apples, but even those aren’t really tempting me anymore. Last years candy apples were soft and mushy (I only ate the outer candy layer) and the cotton candy just doesn’t hold the same appeal it used to. I’m hoping that this fantastic barbecue rib stand is back, last year for thanksgiving that’s what we had, but aside from that I don’t plan on doing anything.
As I said in the last entry I’m sick. Nothing too bad, but it’s enough to keep me in bed moaning and groaning while I wish for death. The only good thing to come out of this so far is the fact that I’ve been able to catch up on my reading. I finished Sabrina Jeffries To Pleasure a Prince (as predictable and unexciting as most of her books are) and I’m nearly through with The Barefoot Princess (well-written and I love Miss Victorine and Amy is one of the best heroines I’ve seen in a long time. Jermyn, however, leaves quite a bit to be desired, he needs a quick smack upside the head if you ask me.) I’m also plowing right through The God Delusion, I know I mentioned starting this months ago, but I have the tendancy to put things down to read other things, knit or sew and so I don’t always finish books in a respectable amount of time. Too much to do, too little time.
Even though I’m sick I’m going to go upstairs shortly and clean the bathtub out, no one else will do it. I’d like to have a nice long soak, but it’s a few days overdue for a cleaning and the shower curtain needs to be changed. It would have been done much earlier if my 14 year old sister hadn’t taken 7 pairs of my non-latex gloves to do god knows what with leaving me with nothing. And wouldn’t you know it, the only store that sells the gloves I like are all out of the non-latex version, it’d be so much easier if I weren’t allergic to latex. Sigh. I’m going to have to drag out the big long latex gloves and use them, I don’t want to because my hands will turn red and very itchy, but the tub needs to be cleaned damn it! As soon as they get more of my preferred gloves in I’m buying a bunch of them and stashing them in my room where no one can get them.

You know, I’d be worried about what a fourteen-year-old would do with seven pairs of non-latex gloves if I were you. ;)
Get better soon!
lol @ pink fuzzy slippers
I know. I can’t wait for fall. The air is starting to get chilly. I don’t know why, but I’m just excited about winter. Must be because I don’t have air conditioning!
Noo! It’s too early for it to get cold! It’s 65 degrees here right now, but that’s because it’s raining. This is not August weather! I hate the cold. But I’d complain if it was hot too. There’s no winning for me.
I’m also allergic to latex and it sucks, because what if you can’t find the non-latex ones? Pretty much SOL at that point. I don’t even use gloves while washing pots and using Comet.
Feel better. :)
