Drama Sites

Drama sites it seems are quite possibly on their way to becoming a popular thing. I can name at least two people I know who have expressed an interest in writing for a drama site and a new drama site has popped up recently: Drama Wars

I’m almost ashamed to say that I think it’s a neat idea, a place to go to get my daily “I’m so bored I could poke myself with a stick just to see how much it hurts” dose of entertainment.

Unfortunately for me, this is a niche that is widely unknown, most of the people I’ve talked to never heard of drama sites before and I’ve only seen two such sites.

Perhaps my disinterest in this category thus far is because Drama Wars (the only active public site I know of) has thus far covered e-drama I have pretty much no interest in (perhaps because of the lackluster coverage?). If you’re a regular patron of my site (or you just know my MO) then you’ll probably have a look of shock on your face because I’m rather well know for my drama lovin’ ways /blush/

Perhaps if it matures it could be an entertaining way to spend a couple of minutes. But for now I’m not going to be looking forward to any rush in the drama site category. One thing is for sure, I wouldn’t want to be at the helm of one :P

For now I think I’ll get my fix from sites like Dear Author.com, Smart Bitches Who Love Trashy Novels and Jemjabella.

Wow – your site is looking good! I love this blue theme.

I can’t imagine I will ever find myself bored enough to go to sites all about E-drama…

Oh I really love these shades of blue and the geometric style header, really nice :)

I don’t really like E-Drama, and I won’t get say anything unless it directly involves me or it’s so blatantly obvious who’s right :-P

Drama sites are ollld. I remember back in the day ljdrama.org (or whatever it was) was the big thing. It was specifically for LiveJournal drama (obviously) but created quite a bit of controversy.

I would find them interesting if they were ever run by people who could write. I just can’t face reading entry after entry of poor English. Take the latest entry on Drama Wars – what the fuck is an “artical”? Then, looking around the other pages.. “to much” instead of “too much”? “do’s and do not do’s” – what’s with the apostrophes?

It’s all a load of bollocks.

I’m loving your new site design and color scheme!

And mm, as for drama sites, I’ve never visited one until now (I followed the link in your entry). I have to say that I’m not too interested; it all seems a little silly, doesn’t it? Though I can see how it could be entertaining at the same time…
