Canadiana

Inspired by Rosemarie’s post about Canadian accents

I love the Canadian accent, I find that there is something really grating about the American accent, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. That’s not to say I don’t love some of those Americans to pieces though.

You know what the best thing in the world is? Ketchup Potato chips. They are yummy and no they do not taste like Ketchup. You know what the other best thing in the world is? Tim Horton’s. Coffee + Sugary treats = happy Becky. Another best thing in the world is Poutine. Who doesn’t love Poutine? Gravy and cheese plus ‘taters, you can’t go wrong!

I love Tim Horton’s.

I hated it how you guys kept calling jacket potatoes, baked potatoes, and washroom, toilet and stuff. :P I could never get used to that.

Wha—-Timbits is Canadian slang? What are those things called everywhere else? Mini-doughnuts? Doughnut balls (hehe, that one’s funny)? Hmm… something to ponder, I suppose.

Amanda, well it’s actually used in reference to a bachelor apartment :P

@Jennifer, I hate the cream cheese, and I can’t eat their bagels anymore because everytime I eat them I get sick /sigh/

@Natalie, I suppose Tim Horton’s popularized them in Canada (and America?) so they’re called TimBit’s, I don’t know what they’re called elsewhere.

@Jenny, you call them jacket potatoes O_o weirdo. I know plenty of people who call the toilet the washroom, I call it the washroom sometimes.

the flavoured ice cap is kind of bad though, cause I tried the caramilk one, and the whole time while I was drinking, I was just thinking about caramilk and not the iced cap :(
