Basic Textpattern Theme v.2

I’ve updated my old basic Textpattern theme to include more features, such as: customized comments, a better comment form (than the default) and an informative and better structured stylesheet complete with all the information you need to customize it to your hearts content. You can preview the theme here: Basic TXP Theme v2. It validates as XHTML 1.0 Strict, but with very little modification (namely removing the paragraphs from around the form elements and removing the backslashes from some of the tags) you could get it to validate as HTML 4.01 Strict.

The theme, like the last version, isn’t much to look at, but I fully expect it to be customized to fit whatever style you prefer. It’s meant to be a base for something else, what that is is up to you, though I have no objections if you wish to use the theme as-is (I just think that’s a bit nuts :P).

All the template files needed to insert into Textpattern are included, if a page or Form isn’t mentioned then just leave it alone, that means I didn’t modify it. The first time you open the theme in whatever editing program you use I recommend that you open reference-style.css. It contains all of the information you need to know about modifying the stylesheet (this applies to both the plain and TXP versions of the theme). If you don’t plan on modifying it or are confident in your abilities to wing it, just use style.css.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me or just post a comment below, I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Don’t sell anything made from this template. Don’t redistribute it (either in modified or original form) and please leave the credits intact. If not in the footer then in the sidebar or on your credits page (I’m not really picky, I just like being linked).

This theme is quite good, it would have helped me back then, when I was using TxP. Now I¿ve returned to WP, darn.
