I may not be updating as regularly (as if I have a regular update pattern now) because my little sister has what they believe is a brain tumor. The good news is that it’s been rated as low-grade, it doesn’t have a blood supply (meaning that it’s not growing or cancerous) and it’s in an easy to reach location. It could, however, be an infection and we’ll find out whether or not it is tomorrow morning at 9am when we get the results of the MRI she had this afternoon (she had to wait 1 day you Americans, 1 day).

If it is a brain tumor then she is most likely going to have it removed, meaning that it will be a week long (give or take) stay at a hospital in Hamilton, Ottawa or Sick Kids in Toronto. She’s 13 years old. This is the best possible scenario for someone with a brain tumor, we’re just glad that they don’t think it’s cancerous and that it’s not growing. The odds are good that she’ll outlive me and my chocolate lovin’ butt, unless Ronald McDonald’s Happy Meals do her in, hah!

I’ll probably continue to update, but the updates will be even more sporadic than usual and depending on my level of stress they may or may not make less sense than they usually do.
